Gladsaxe Cemetery – Selected Historic Graves

The film portrays the church’s history from the 12th century to the present day and its development from a traditional cemetery into a park cemetery.

It presents grave symbolism such as horses, broken tree trunks, oak leaves, butterflies, and angels — symbols of rest, interrupted life, civic virtue, resurrection, and God’s messenger.

Gravestones featuring the word META and circular forms are explained as symbols of life’s path toward death and eternal life.

Special graves, including that of Master Butcher Jensen and the institutional burial ground Lillemosegaard, are highlighted.

Finally, the Woodland Cemetery is presented as a newer, nature-based part of the site.

The film was produced by H.V. Produktion in collaboration with Chroma Film ApS.
