Selandia – The Ship That Changed the World

In 1912, the world’s first diesel-powered ship capable of crossing the oceans, M/S Selandia, was built.

The minds behind it were Rudolf Diesel and Ivar Knudsen, creators of the revolutionary diesel engine for ships. Together with H. N. Andersen, founder of EAC, they built M/S Selandia and ushered in a new era.

The ship was acclaimed worldwide, and the three men quickly achieved great success. But in the years following the launch, Rudolf Diesel died under mysterious circumstances.

The drama documentary M/S Selandia tells the story of a technological revolution shrouded in mystery.
